Serafiks-Bond

Serafiks-Bond;

It is a cement-based powder mortar used for bonding tiles and ceramics with reduced slip.

Usage areas:

  • Concrete, plaster, screed, tile, etc. coating tiles and ceramics on it
  • Indoors and outdoors,
  • On horizontal and vertical surfaces,
  • It is used for bonding small and medium sized floor and wall ceramics with a water absorption rate of over 3%.

Preparation of the Surface:

  • Care should be taken that the application surface has cured.
  • The application surface must be cleared of materials that prevent adhesion such as dust, oil, tar, tar, paint, silicone, curing material, detergent and mold oils.
  • Defects on the application surface should be corrected 24 hours before, with suitable repair mortars, depending on the depth and structure of the surface.
  • The application surface should be wetted and ensured to be moist. If the surface is too water absorbent, it should be applied after priming the surface.

Preparation of Mortar:

  • 25 kg of Tile and Ceramic Adhesive Mortar is added into approximately 5.5 – 6.5 liters of clean water and mixed preferably with a low speed mixer until there is no lump.
  • The prepared mortar is left to mature for 5 – 10 minutes and is used by mixing again for 1-2 minutes.
  • The mixture in the pot should be consumed within 1 – 1.5 hours.

Application Information:

  • First of all, a contact layer is formed by pressing the adhesive mortar firmly on the application surface, and then the product is combed with a toothed trowel selected according to the tile size.
  • It should be ensured that the adhesive mortar touches at least 80% of the back of the ceramic.
  • To ensure a good adhesion, apply force with the help of a rubber hammer.

Consumption:
3,5 – 4 kg/m2

Attention:

  • Avoid application at temperatures below + 5 ° C and above + 35 ° C.
  • Pay attention to the amount of water added to the mortar. Do not add more water than necessary.
  • Avoid application in frozen areas, where there is a risk of freezing within 24 hours or in areas open to direct sunlight and wind.
  • Do not add powder and water to the expired mortar.

Packaging:
